Health professionals including nurses doctors and pharmacists will be trained on Mental health services as these services are not offered currently in primary health care in Lesotho and therefore most people are denied the care that they need due to lack of knowledge in Health professionals

I am a health professional who is currently waiting for the results in Phd in psychiatric mental health Nursing. I have noticed that in Lesotho there is a serious gap in Mental health and yet World health organization has confirmed that mental health problems are a second leading cause of ill health currently and is expected to be the first leading cause of ill health in 2030 but mental health seems to be neglected in most countries especially in africa. Lesotho is not excluded in this problem as many people with mental health problems are not diagnosed due to lack of knowledge regarding Mental health in Health professionals. In a study that I did in 2022 around 70 % of Health professional reported to know nothing in Mental health and therefore they were saying they are not providing such services
