Seeking Partnership (Future Training) / Providing Training Expertise

Seeking bilingual (Spanish) neonatal nurse educators

World Pediatric Project, Honduras

World Pediatric Project is seeking bilingual nurse educators to assist in roll out and scale up of its neonatal care training initiatives into Latin America. We partner with clinicians in LMICs to provide education on neonatal topics, and in turn collaborate to identify and address areas of improvement in neonatal intensive care units. At this time we are seeking bilingual nurse educators (primary need), respiratory therapists, and neonatologists for our partner site in Honduras. We rely on the collaboration of both partners to tailor the program to the specific needs of its recipients.

Additional info

World Pediatric Project is an international NGO with 10+ years of practical experience of implementing sustainable newborn care training programs in the Caribbean and Central America. In eight countries throughout these regions we've implemented longitudinal programs to train nurses and develop better hospital infrastructure to care for critically ill newborns. We have also implemented national training programs throughout more rural health districts to train doctors, nurses and midwives in newborn care practices. In 2019 we partnered with the Pan American Health Organization to host the first-ever neonatal care conference in the Eastern Caribbean. As WPP’s training programs have expanded, health officials and physicians from throughout these regions have reached out to WPP to request neonatal care training, a well known need globally, as countries around the world work to meet the Sustainable Development Goals for neonatal mortality by 2030.
